1. A Romantic Dinner

It may sound cliché, but every woman loves an elegant, romantic dinner. Surprise her with a dozen roses or a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Then, sweep her away to her favorite upscale restaurant. Make the night perfect with champagne, candles, and personal touches. Ask the musician to play your song and propose during the song.

2. A Surprise Trip

Blindfold her and take her on a spontaneous trip to a location that has special meaning for the two of you. Whether it's the first place you kissed or first getaway, she will be touched that you remember. If you have a hard time choosing a location, you cannot go wrong with a nearby Bed and Breakfast. When you arrive at the location, get on one knee to pop the question. Have a bottle of champagne nearby.

3. Proposal on a Budget

Proposals can certainly be done on a budget! The money is far less important than the time and effort put into the proposal. Tap into your personal talents. If you are artistically inclined, write a song for her or paint a beautiful portrait. Once you present the talent, propose to her.

Another inexpensive way to propose is by taking her to a nearby location with significance. If the two of you shared a memorable first date dinner, take her back to that same location. If she has a favorite park or beach, that is a perfect location!

4. Holiday Proposal

Valentine's Day is a truly romantic holiday and a popular choice for proposals. If you propose on Valentine's Day, it's important to keep her personal taste in mind. There are many creative ways to plan a Valentine's Day Proposal. You can draw a bath with rose petals surrounded by candles, treat her to a romantic breakfast in bed with fresh flowers, or make a candlelit dinner accompanied by champagne and flower petals.

Although Valentine's Day is an obvious choice for proposals, some women have another favorite holiday that would be a great opportunity for a marriage proposal. As her partner, you know her better than anyone. If she always mentions how much she loves Christmas, surprise her by tying the ring on a beautiful Christmas tree or putting a bow with the ring on a beloved pet.

5. Venue Proposal

Another creative idea for a marriage proposal is picking a great venue with significance. Does she love a particular zoo, theatre, or art gallery? Plan her dream proposal at her favorite venue. Not only will she love the effort, she will think of you every time she visits the spot. If you will need any special accommodations, talk to the venue management. Hopefully, they will be eager to make the proposal special for the two of you! You can add other personal touches to make sure she remembers the moment forever. If you are proposing in her favorite theatre, have a group of actors recite a romantic scene from her favorite play.
