Going 'cold turkey' and just quitting or choosing a softer way is your choice. However, those who choose to go cold turkey and make a complete break overcome the desire to smoke more quickly and are soon enjoying the satisfaction, sense of wellbeing, good health and the financial benefits of being a non-smoker.

1. It is vital that you firmly make up your mind to quit and that you don't go back.

2. Analyze your reasons for quitting - health, environment, cost etc.

3. Know clearly why you want to quit.

4. Visualize and feel the benefits - improved taste and smell, feel better, more fit and active etc.

5. You must adopt the attitude and belief that you are already a Non-smoker; I DO NOT SMOKE!!

6. Promise yourself that you will never light up another cigarette.

7. Once you make up your mind, once you are committed, the quicker you do it the better.
