Those who love to read but who have a hard time fitting it into their busy schedules often find the use of audible books to be a great solution. This medium has great appeal for commuters, those with reading disabilities or those with physical challenges such as vision problems, but some simply like the idea of listening to text being read. Traditionally, books were sold on audio tape, but technology is greatly changing this market.

Finding audible books is now quite simple for even the least computer savvy individuals. Several sites are offering these books for sale, some sites even offer them up for free. The quickest way to find what you are looking for is by using the search phrase 'audible books' at the site of your preferred search engine. This search term will produce an abundance of sites to peruse that offer audio books to download. Downloading is easy, and you don't even need to have a portable player as you can usually stream the audio content directly through your PC, or even burn to a CD for later use.

You will need the proper software to either burn a CD or transfer to an audio device, but this is also widely available and often freeware.
