In the last article, I showed you how to increase the value of your PDF ebook by adding valuable elements like a table of contents and list of resources. Today, we'll take your PDF e-books to the next level, adding even more value to improve sales and customer satisfaction, while minimizing returns.

Make sure that all your text is 12-point - Times New Roman is a good choice for long blocks of text. Pictures and graphics should be enlarged so they can be easily read. Adding comics and other graphics will make your ebook more visually appealing. All these steps add bulk to your ebook, while increasing its value to your readers.

"Johnson boxes" are those little boxes which include an important point, separated from the rest of the text for added emphasis. Add them every two or three pages - that will add meat to your document, while cluing your reader in to the important points you are presenting.

Next, tell the reader about your other products. This is one of the greatest reasons to publish an ebook - to lead readers to your other products. So put a list of your other products in the back with clickable links. Make sure to include 3D cover shots which will increase the size of your ebook and cause more sales at the same time. It's very easy to create a 3D version of your cover...or you can have someone else do it.

Finally, provide checklists and cheat sheets for your customers. People eat this stuff up! Any topic that has more than a few steps is better understood with a checklist. Tell your readers what to do and in what order to do them. Cheat sheets are great for technical things. Settings for a software. Settings for a camera. Tips for interviewing someone. Things not to miss when buying a new home. How to convert publisher files to a PDF ebooks. All of these work well with cheat sheets. And your customers will love them!

When writing an e-book, take that concept to the next level. Look for other items to include in your e-book. Depending on your subject, your customers might like a sample contract or other form, a convenient spread sheet, or something else which helps them to understand how to do things. Why make them re-invent the wheel? If the tools exist, offer them to your customers.

By following these few simple tips, you can beef up your ebook and provide great value to your readers. People are willing to pay more for a good value, and your great new e-book will sell more because of word-of-mouth advertising. It's a win-win situation for you and your audience!
