One can now acquire knowledge without necessarily having the ability to read and write -- thanks to the audio book industry. The fact that novels and other fun and entertainment books now come in audio books also help to make audio book technology a life saver.

The fact that most people can now "listen" to their favourite book instead of spending the time to sit and carefully read it, so much love has now been spread about audio books. This can be attributed to why we now have as many audio book versions of popular book titles as we have the normal physical book format.

Many will agree what a great time saver it would be to "listen" to a book rather than "read" it, especially when one "listens" while driving a car or truck. For those that don't have time at all to read books, they would get lots of knowledge with audio books.

While you can't read a normal hardcover or paperback book in the dark, with an audio book you can listen even in the dark; this is so far one of the most powerful advantages of audio book.
