The 4gb iPhone: Tell me more.

The launching of the new 4gb iPhone had a considerable amount of enthusiasm and excitement. The iPhone was to be an all in one communication device with incorporation of the music player - like having an ipod and cell phone all in one.

For the most, the new 4gb iPhone lived up to its expectation. Individuals lined up for hours in front of stores for this new leading edge tech from Apple. This was mainly due to its design and appeal to gadget like status, ipod started before it. However, there were a few negative comments about it.

The Radical Design Of The 4gb iPhone

The 4gb iPhone design is a "self selling" machine. The iPhones sleek design and easy to use screen, is effective for any non-tech user. The clear screen is where the action takes place and is sensitive to the touch of the owner to navigate the various programs, complete with a computer like navigational display.

Also, the 4gb iPhone is not bulky.. In fact the iPhone is very thin which adds to its appeal.

The Phone is not bulky or cumbersome, in fact the very thin design adds to its style.

The Many Functions

The computer system that the 4gb iPhone runs on is based the Mac OS X. This system helps to support the many functions and allows development of add-on programs.

One of those applications is the ipod like , easy to use, music player. Another one, as included as part of the multi-functional pack, is a quality camera. One additional worthwhile feature, out of many, was the ease of accessing the internet.

It also allows the easy access to email, text messaging and online browsing. This is sure to bring a large following as teens have grown up with fast internet access.

Unfavorable Comments Regarding The 4gb iPhone

Of course no new IT toy is perfect. The 4gb iPhone is no exception

Some of the comments that against the iPhone were:

1. Camera not having video 2. 4 gb not enough memory

Two months following the launch of this iPhone it was announced that this model of the iPhone would no longer be produced.

This affected the selling price of the 4gb iPhone. Originally, it was set at around $499.00. Lack of memory and the resulting decision was to stop production of this model, it can be purchased for about $200 less.

This makes the iphone 4 gb a good buy for those who can't afford the top model or possibly for the teenager who is just finding this new technology.
