Abused and abandoned little dogs like a Yorkshire Terrier can really break your heart and if you see one that is abused and abandoned then you should contact the local Yorkie rescue centre to make sure that the little dog gets the help it needs.

But sometimes the situation for the dog can go from bad to worse if you choose a Yorkie rescue centre that is ill equipped to handle the situation so to that end here are some things you can look for in a Yorkie rescue centre to make sure it is able to help the little dog get back on its feet.

It is essential for any Yorkie rescue centre to have access to qualified vet services in order to do their job properly. If you are talking to a Yorkie rescue centre that does not have reliable vet services available to them then they may not be able to really help the little dog and you may want to try another centre.

This is what any good Yorkie rescue centre will be doing with the other animal rescue groups in your area and if they are not networking with the other animal rescue groups then that may mean they do not have the resources necessary to help the dogs that are brought to them. So be sure that the Yorkie rescue centre you are talking to is plugged in to that network.

Never let a pet go abused or abandoned. It is up to the humane people to make sure these pets get the help they need and you should always appreciate the work done by Yorkie rescue centres and support them. It does not take a lot to support a Yorkie rescue centre and with the work they try and do they can use all the help they can get.
